Hey, I knew that Balloon Boy incident was a hoax
Hey, I knew that Balloon Boy incident was a hoax. Why did they discover that stupid kid in the attic AFTER everything had happened?Exactly how did those tethers come loose? Why were those stupid kids so bored during every interview?I don’t really want to see those idiot parents go to jail.I would just like to see them disappear into oblivion.
I took a walk to CVS to buy a bottle of soda, and then I returned home to watch “Jesus Christ Superstar.”The album was such a big bestseller during the 1970s that I was curious as to what it was about.I had never heard the record before. The director of the movie was Norman Jewison, who had made the successful and satisfying “Fiddler on the Roof.”This movie, on the other hand, was bad.I could not understand why Tim Rice has the reputation of being a great lyricist. The songs were terrible and foolish, with maybe a couple of exceptions. How could this musical be considered a rock opera? The music has a bit of electric guitar, and some young people singing and dancing around, but otherwise it’s the story of Jesus twisted and shoved by force into a Broadway musical format. Some of the singers sound comical and inappropriate. There’s no rock and roll spirit of rebellion or exploration.Ted Neely, who was Jesus, made me think he was with Blood, Sweat and Tears at various moments.Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene showed some overwrought acting at times, but she did have the best singing voice of this group, displaying the only glimpses of genuine emotion.“I Don’t Know How to Love Him” was the best of the songs in the movie. It showed how Yvonne could have hit records a few years later, with a remake of “Hello Stranger,” and her version of The Bee Gees’ “If I Can’t Have You” that appeared on the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack album. She must have made some decent money before all was said and done.
